Quintin Aldridge | Assitant Coach
Quintin Aldridge begins his first season on the Hornet sideline as an assistant coach. He is a graduate of Lynchburg College with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. He played two years under head coach Hilliary Scott at LC.
Aldridge previously worked as the head varsity coach at Amelia Academy from 2013-2015. While at Amelia, his squad had a combined record of 48-17 while winning back to back conference championships. Aldridge has coached and recruited five first-team all-conference players, two first team all-state players along with one conference player of the year.
The 2011 Lynchburg graduate was a student assistant for the Hornet women's basketball team for two seasons while he played on the men's team. Aldridge has worked numerous camps, including stints at Penn State University, Wake Forest University and Hoop Group camps. He also served as the assistant women's coach at Randolph College for two seasons.
Chad Lipes | Assistant Coach
Chad Lipes joined the Lynchburg men's basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2017.
The Covington, Va., native served as an assistant boys' basketball coach at his other alma mater, Covington High School, in 2016-17 before returning to Lakeside Drive.
A 2016 graduate of Lynchburg, Lipes was a four-year player and co-captain in his senior season, where he helped lead the Hornets to the program's second Old Dominion Athletic Conference title and first-ever NCAA Division III tournament win.
Lipes earned his degree in health and physical education and is currently working toward his master's in educational leadership with a focus on K-12 education.
Chase Hankins | Assistant Coach
Chase Hankins joins coach Hilliary Scott's staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2017-18 season. A 2017 Lynchburg grad, Hankins spent four years under Coach Scott's tutelage.
The Bland, Va. native earned his degree in sociology.
